Description

MOX311S: This seed, grown in 2011, is the F3 line of Mozark x Sioux as selected from semi-indeterminate plants that showed strong and continual production of near perfect, blemish free, red slicer/canners with an excellent, balanced flavor and very tight blossom scars. Fruit runs baseball size from early season through midsummer heat. You may get smaller fruit toward the very end of season as the vines wind down toward in shortened daylight hours. The original cross was inspired by a discontinued hybrid from University of Missouri called MoCross Surprise a tomato that enjoyed popularity in Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas due to superior heat setting abilities and crack resistance. My 2011 plants set fruit in daytime temperatures exceeding 95*F with 82* nights. Bears fruit in clusters of 3 and 4 with blossom set every other internode surpassing typical indeterminate production. Expect continued segregation for both semi-indeterminate, and to a lesser extent determinate growth habits. Ripened in Zone 6b at 120 days from seed or about 65 – 70 days from transplant. 12 or more seeds per pack.
